Well done, CNN

November 16, 2009

Wednesday CNN said adios to Lou Dobbs.

And it doubled-down on unbiased news.

Despite its poor ratings as compared to the personality, opinion-driven programming of FOX, MSNBC, and HLN, CNN has made the decision to maintain its credibility as a source for real news.

It’s a risk, but one that Americans should respect.  It is refreshing to see an organization fight to maintain some form of journalistic integrity.

Meanwhile though, CNN has work to do: too many still remember it as the “Clinton News Network” or  the “Commie News Network.”

But while viewers may still prefer O’Reilly, Olbermann, or Nancy to Campbell Brown, at least CNN is worthy of its motto, “the most trusted name in news.”
