Like most Americans, you are probably aware of Harvard’s well-deserved liberal reputation. From thousands-strong rallies against the liberation of Iraq to a student body that tears down all posters with a conservative message, our college has its problems. Yet a lesser-known aspect of Harvard that deserves attention is the increasingly strong and organized segment of the population that rejects extremist views and seeks answers to questions of public policy in the doctrines of the Right.
The Harvard Republican Club (HRC), a student-run organization at Harvard College, exists to encourage such trends. As the oldest College Republicans chapter in the country, founded in 1888, we are proud of our rich history of Republican advocacy.
